What is Plasma Hair Restoration?
Plasma is obtained from blood by separating out the liquid component of the blood and concentrating the platelets found within the plasma. Platelets are a natural part of the body’s healing process. When we inject a high concentration of activated platelets into any part of the body they release many growth factors and stimulate new tissue and healing.
The Plasma Hair Restoration procedure is an injection of the platelet rich plasma into the area experiencing hair loss. The injection increases blood supply to the hair follicles which stimulates the inactive follicles to promote natural hair growth now and continued growth in the long term.
The Benefits of Plasma Hair Restoration
Natural-Looking Results
If you’re looking for a virtually undetectable way to get your own hair back, Plasma hair restoration is the solution for you. You can rest assured that your results will look completely natural because it’s YOUR hair that’s growing!
Non-Invasive & Virtually Risk-Free
Other hair restoration treatments like transplants can be costly, complicated, and painful. With Plasma hair restoration there is no need to take time off work or plan for an extensive recovery. The treatment is composed of your own growth factors, so the possibility of allergic reaction or adverse side effects are almost nonexistent.
Greater Effectiveness
If you’ve tried other hair loss treatments but are unsatisfied with the results, our Plasma Hair Restoration procedure may be the right solution for you. Treating the hair loss from the inside out addresses the root cause of your issue. Plasma can also be combined with hair transplants and other hair loss treatments to speed up the transplanted hair’s growth cycle.
Why Choose Be CLINICAL For Plasma Hair Restoration
Our Plasma Hair Restoration procedures are performed by highly trained Medical Providers. It is important to know exactly where to inject the Plasma in order to achieve the best outcomes. At Be CLINICAL we use the most advanced Plasma concentrating systems on the market. Not all Plasma treatments are the same, the quality of the equipment used dictates the concentration of the platelets in the plasma which directly affect the results of treatment. Also, last but certainly not least, Be CLINICAL Medical Providers are trained in highly effective local anesthetic methods in order to minimize any discomfort during treatment.
What Conditions Can Be Treated With Plasma Hair Restoration?
Our San Ramon & San Francisco Bay Area Plasma Hair Restoration can treat a variety of conditions, including…
Postpartum Hair Loss
The increased estrogen during pregnancy protects hair loss, resulting in thicker hair. Once the baby is born, that hair goes back to its normal growth cycle and starts to shed—resulting in a higher than average amount of hair loss. Plasma Hair Restoration can restore hair growth during these 3-12 months postpartum where hair loss is common.
Androgenetic Alopecia
Androgenetic Alopecia is more commonly known as male pattern baldness and female pattern baldness. It is a hereditary condition that is common in both men and women. By utilizing Plasma injections on the areas where the bald spots have occurred, we can achieve remarkable results without any adverse effects—restoring both hair and confidence in our patients!
Natural Hair Loss From Aging
As you (and your hair) age, it is natural to experience changes in color, texture, and overall hair thickness. With regular maintenance treatments with Plasma for Hair Restoration we can combat this natural thinning of the hair and keep your hair looking great as you age!
FAQ
What is the PRP Hair Restoration Experience Like?
Your Plasma Hair Restoration procedure at our San Ramon & San Francisco Bay Area medical spa clinic will begin with a consultation in which you and your Be CLINICAL Provider will determine your hair growth goals. Then, during this minimally invasive procedure our Providers will take a blood sample from your arm and use it to extract the Plasma for treatment. The Plasma will then be injected around the head where there are inactive hair follicles. The process typically takes 60-90 minutes, mostly due to the collection of Plasma. The procedure itself lasts only about 15-30 minutes.
What to Expect Post Treatment?
Most patients are able to resume daily activities immediately following treatment, including showering, shampooing, and conditioning your hair as normal. Results usually take about 4-6 weeks to manifest and full results will continue to build over the course of a few months through a series of shots - often a series of 3 spread one month apart. Annual maintenance shots are recommended to maintain and maximize results.
How is PRP Hair Restoration Priced?
The Plasma Hair Restoration procedure at Be CLINICAL is charged per injection. Every patient is different, but we typically recommend 1-3 injections initially with one month between injections. We then recommend follow up injections every 6-12 months to maintain results. During a consultation, your Medical Provider will have a better idea of how many Plasma Hair Restoration injections will be needed to achieve the desired results.
What Are The Most Common Side Effects?
Almost any patient who wants to restore natural hair growth can achieve great results with minimal risk by undergoing the Plasma Hair Restoration procedure. As the components of Plasma originate from your own blood, there is no concern for an allergic reaction. Common side effects are usually mild and short lived such as swelling, bruising and mild discomfort.
